Print Parade #4 Showcases Regeneration of Indonesian Graphic Arts

RRI.CO.ID, Yogyakarta - The fourth edition of Print Parade - 2026, held at Kiniko Art in Bantul, Yogyakarta, is not only a showcase of works but also a vibrant meeting point for generations of Indonesian printmakers.

Curated by Bambang ‘Toko’ Witjaksono, the exhibition highlights how graphic arts continue to evolve through memory, practice, and regeneration, with 71 artists participating to present a diverse range of techniques and perspectives.

Participating artists include members and former members of Studio Grafis Minggiran as well as selected guest printmakers -- such as Bambang Toko, Edi Sunaryo, Syahrizal Pahlevi, and Theresia Agustina Sitompul -- creating a rich encounter of generations, approaches, and experiences.

Running from September 12 - 30, 2026, the exhibition pays tribute to the late Danang Hadi, whose works are displayed as a recognition of his dedication and consistency in the field.

Alongside his legacy, the show features contributions from current and former members of Studio Grafis Minggiran -- a printmaking studio-collective based in Yogyakarta -- invited artists, and student interns from 2023–2026, creating a rich landscape of approaches and experiences.

Since its inception in 2013, Print Parade has grown into more than an exhibition. It has become a platform for reflection, knowledge exchange, and intergenerational dialogue.

This year’s edition continues that tradition, positioning artworks as part of broader conversations about process, history, and sustainability in printmaking.

For Studio Grafis Minggiran, founded in 2001, Print Parade embodies its commitment to keeping graphic arts alive through exhibitions, workshops, residencies, and collaborations. The studio views the event as a way to connect past achievements with present practices while opening space for future possibilities.

Ultimately, Print Parade #4 is a celebration of continuity -- bridging generations, honoring contributions, and fostering regeneration in the ecosystem of Indonesian graphic arts.
