RRI.CO.ID, Surakarta – Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2026 enhances its partnership with Pura Mangkunegaran through a strategic collaboration between SIPA Community and the Mangkunegaran Foundation. The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed in Surakarta on August 20, 2026.
The agreement was signed by Chairperson of the Mangkunegaran Foundation, G.R.Aj Ancillasura Marina Sudjiwo, and Director of SIPA Community, Dr. R.Ay. Irawati Kusumorasri, M.Sn. The collaboration aims to strengthen SIPA as an international performing arts festival while promoting Indonesia’s cultural heritage to wider audiences.
Under the agreement, both parties will work together based on collaboration, mutual support, and a shared commitment to improving the quality and impact of SIPA. The partnership covers festival activities, promotion and publication, image building, as well as coordination to support the successful implementation of the event.
The Mangkunegaran Foundation will support SIPA as a collaborator, including through branding opportunities during the festival. Meanwhile, SIPA Community will be responsible for planning and implementing the festival and developing its performing arts programs.
The partnership brings together two important cultural forces in Surakarta, combining the historical heritage of Pura Mangkunegaran with the diversity of performing arts presented through SIPA. The collaboration is expected to further foster Surakarta’s position as an active and dynamic cultural city.
SIPA 2026 is also part of the Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2026, a national program featuring selected tourism and cultural events across Indonesia. Its inclusion in KEN further highlights SIPA’s role in promoting Indonesian culture and tourism to both domestic and international audiences.
Through its partnership with Pura Mangkunegaran and its participation in KEN 2026, SIPA is expected to continue developing as a platform for artists from Indonesia and around the world. The festival also aims to offer cultural experiences that are entertaining, educational, and sustainable while strengthening Surakarta’s reputation as one of Indonesia’s cultural centers.
