RRI.CO.ID, Banyuwangi - Banyuwangi, East Java-based PT Warisan Eurindo Furniture has successfully directed 90 percent of its production to international buyers, exporting premium teak wood products to the United States, the Maldives, Europe, and the Middle East.
During a working visit to the factory in Kalipuro District on Friday, August 28, 2026, Trade Minister Budi Santoso commended the company's latest export expansion into Malaysia and its strict adherence to the Timber Legality and Sustainability Verification System (SVLK). The facility primarily manufactures custom-ordered hotel and resort furnishings, including tables, chairs, daybeds, and cabinets, utilizing solid teak wood integrated with rattan and metal elements.
To further accelerate the national furniture industry's global reach, the Ministry of Trade is preparing a specialized international furniture exhibition in Jakarta for October 2026. The ministry also plans to leverage its global network to help local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Banyuwangi enter the export market.
Government officials and factory management emphasized that utilizing sustainable, high-quality domestic raw materials is essential for dominating the international furniture market. Minister Budi Santoso highlighted the government's commitment to expanding market access for sustainable national products.
"This factory just dispatched an export shipment to Malaysia, which is excellent, and importantly, they hold an SVLK certification, meaning their operations are legally verified and eco-friendly, we want our furniture exports, especially those utilizing our natural advantages in teak and rattan, to dominate the world. To support this, we will connect MSMEs with Indonesia's trade representatives, including Trade Attachés and Indonesian Trade Promotion Centers (ITPC), across 33 countries," he said during his visit to Banyuwangi on Friday, August 28, 2026, as quoted by Infopublik.id.
PT Warisan Eurindo Furniture HRD Manager Wiwit Gita Ariwiyanti detailed the facility's production focus and material composition.
"The export market heavily dominates our sales, and our production is driven entirely by specific client orders, adapting designs and volumes to meet market needs, our primary material is 90 percent wood, specifically 100 percent teak, while the remaining supporting materials usually consist of metal or rattan," Wiwit explained. ***
