RRI.CO.ID, Denpasar - The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration rounded up 66 foreign nationals from 27 countries during a weeklong targeted surveillance operation addressing immigration violations and public order disruptions.
Executing the Dharma Dewata patrol across immigration jurisdictions, including Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Singaraja, Tabanan, and Klungkung, officials intercepted 24 individuals for alleged visa misuse, 20 for overstaying their permits, and 22 for disturbing public peace.
Officers deployed integrated digital data systems to validate travel documents while conducting field visits to lodging operators and businesses, encouraging compliance through the Foreigner Reporting Application. All 66 individuals remain under investigation to determine administrative sanctions, including potential deportation.
Immigration authorities reiterated that enforcement strategies balance digital surveillance with measured field operations to protect public security and maintain high-quality tourism.
Head of the Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration Felucia Sengky Ratna underscored the role of technology in early threat detection. "Digital-based surveillance has proven effective in detecting potential violations more quickly and accurately," Felucia said in Denpasar on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
She instructed field personnel to maintain professional and ethical standards during inspections. "In every operation, I emphasize that all personnel work professionally, avoid power abuse, and carry out surveillance humanely yet strictly and measurably within applicable legal corridors," Felucia added.
