RRI.CO.ID, Palu - The Central Sulawesi Provincial Administration and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Indonesia have reinforced their commitment to advance cross-border investments targeting four key sectors: minerals, renewable energy, palm oil plantations, and fisheries.

The strategic alignment was finalized during an official meeting between Central Sulawesi Governor Anwar Hafid and UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri at the Governor's Office in Palu on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. To ensure rapid implementation, both parties agreed to form a dedicated joint task force and schedule a technical presentation in Jakarta to outline detailed investment proposals.

In addition to resource extraction and agricultural processing, Central Sulawesi officials emphasized their readiness to support clean energy transitions within local industrial zones and improve supporting infrastructure to foster a competitive investment climate.

Regional executive leaders and UAE diplomatic representatives underscored that strategic bilateral cooperation will accelerate regional economic growth and create concrete development opportunities.

Central Sulawesi Governor Anwar Hafid expressed confidence in the prospective investments following the high-level discussions.

"We see high seriousness from the UAE Ambassador in exploring investment potentials in Central Sulawesi, many strategic topics were discussed, and God willing, we will follow them up concretely. We hope investments from the UAE will quickly enter and deliver direct impacts on economic growth and community welfare. We continue to drive energy transition in industrial areas and prepare various conveniences for investors as part of our efforts to create a conducive investment climate," Anwar said in Palu on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri confirmed his country's strong interest in expanding investment portfolios across the province.

"We see many investment opportunities that can be developed together, focusing primarily on energy, palm oil, fisheries, tourism, and minerals, moving forward, we will form a task force to focus on priority sectors so that investment opportunities can be followed up in a concrete and targeted manner," Ambassador Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri explained. ***
