The international and national figures who were present at AIF 2024 with the theme “Aceh Thanks to the World” shared their ideas on how to build Aceh. Some of them promptly proposed collaboration through an educational scholarship initiative for the youth of Aceh
“The theme of 'Aceh, Thanks to The World' is a form of gratitude with various experiences of recovering from a major disaster," said Safrizal, Friday, as quoted by rri.co.id.
Safrizal expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in assisting Aceh's recovery. He also mentioned that all recommendations and contributions made in the AIF 2024 would be compiled to create a better future for Aceh.
"We also hope for all countries to continue to support the development of Aceh so that it continues to be better after the tsunami," he said.
Former Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Dahlan Iskan also shared his ideas in the forum. He was optimistic that Aceh will progress in the future.
Dahlan said that there are a number of large projects that would be built in Aceh. Among them are the Geothermal Seulawah and the Andaman Oil and Gas Block.
"The large Peusangan Hydroelectric Power Plant project has been successfully built in Aceh. Several other large projects will soon follow in Aceh," said Dahlan.
He hoped that the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Provincial Administration would continue to encourage the two large projects to be completed and start production soon. He also expected that the administration would prepare human resources to be apprenticed to the geothermal and oil and gas industries. ***
