KBRN, Jakarta: Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono welcomed a courtesy call from the Ambassador of Croatia to Indonesia, H.E. Nebojša Koharović, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta on Thursday (22/05). Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhance interactions in all areas of cooperation.

During the meeting, the two diplomats expressed appreciation for the longstanding and strong political relations between Indonesia and Croatia, including within the ASEAN framework.

They also emphasized a shared commitment to advancing cooperation in employment and trade, particularly in improving market access to each other’s regions.

On the social and cultural front, Indonesia and Croatia continue to collaborate in various areas, including the promotion of interfaith dialogue and joint sports training programs, notably in football.

In 2024, trade between Indonesia and Croatia reached a total value of USD 144.8 million. Key Indonesian exports to Croatia included palm oil, coal, synthetic rubber, and paper.

Croatia ranked as Indonesia’s top trading partner among ASEAN countries, reflecting the dynamic growth of bilateral trade between the two nations.
