Indonesian Wrestling Adds More Silvers and Bronzes at 2025 SEA Games

KBRN, Jakarta: The wrestling team has added more medals to Indonesia's tally at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games. In the women's freestyle event, Indonesia won two silver and two bronze medals after the finals at Pacific Park Shopping Center Sriracha, Chonburi, on Thursday, December 18.

Wrestler Ayuningtias Mutiara contributed a silver medal after finishing second in the women's 53-kilogram freestyle class. She competed fiercely with Vietnam's representative, Nguyen Thi My Linh, who won the gold, quoted by Antara.

In that match, Mutiara collected 20 points, five points behind My Linh, who scored 25 points. This result confirms Vietnam's dominance in this event.

Another silver medal came from Mutoharoh, who competed in the women's 57-kilogram class with a total of 20 points. Vietnamese wrestler Nguyen Thi My Trang won with 25 points and secured the gold medal.

Meanwhile, two bronze medals were won by Novita Sarah and Herlina Kharisma Tantri in different classes. Novita finished third in the 50-kilogram class, while Herlina took third place in the 62-kilogram class.

The competition was fierce from the start, but the Indonesian wrestlers remained consistent in every event. Although Vietnam won all the gold medals, Indonesia managed to maintain its position as a strong contender at the top.

With the addition of two silver and two bronze medals, Indonesia's medal tally continues to rise at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games. As of Thursday night, Indonesia has collected 80 gold, 92 silver, and 102 bronze medals, trailing Thailand, which remains at the top of the standings. ***
