RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian climber Putra Tri Ramadani is setting his sights on a podium finish at the World Climbing Series Wujiang 2026, aiming at least for bronze while emphasizing consistency and technical improvement in his preparation.

The lead discipline specialist said his training program, developed with the coaching team, has been running smoothly with a strong focus on refining technique and maintaining performance across sessions.

“The coaching staff have prepared a program that I believe can improve my climbing quality, and I often discuss with them and my teammates,” Putra explained during practice in Wujiang on Wednesday, March 6, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

He stressed that intensive communication with coaches and fellow athletes has been key to overcoming challenges during preparation, helping him build confidence ahead of competition.

Regular evaluations after training, he added, have sharpened his ability to read routes and sustain rhythm in lead climbing.

Putra, known by his nickname “Srondeng”, underlined that his ultimate goal is to deliver his best performance, reach the finals, and secure a place on the podium. “Hopefully every obstacle can be managed,” he said.

The Indonesian Sport Climbing Federation (FPTI) has sent 13 athletes to Wujiang, competing in both speed and lead categories. The delegation departed Tuesday night and arrived Wednesday morning. Indonesia fields five men and four women in speed, while two men and two women will contest lead.

The Wujiang series is expected to serve as a benchmark for Indonesia’s readiness in global competitions throughout 2026, while also acting as a crucial step in preparations for the Asian Games in Aichi‑Nagoya, Japan, this September. ***
