RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that Indonesian pilgrims will be gradually dispatched to Arafah on Monday, May 25, 2026, coinciding with 8 Dzulhijjah 1447 Hijri, to undergo the peak series of Hajj rituals.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Maria Ulfa Assegaf, said that the movement of pilgrims toward Arafah marks the beginning of the Armuzna phase, which is an important stage in the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage.
"Alhamdulillah, entering the 34th day of the Hajj pilgrimage operations, today Indonesian pilgrims have started to gradually move toward Arafah to perform the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage. This is a very important phase that requires physical and mental readiness, as well as discipline from all pilgrims," Maria stated in Jakarta, Monday, May 25, 2026.
She explained that the departure process for the pilgrims to Arafah is carried out in three stages, namely at 07:00, 11:30, and 16:30 Saudi Arabian time. All pilgrims are requested to follow the established schedule to ensure smoothness and orderliness during the mobilization process.
"We urge all pilgrims to follow the predetermined schedule, not to move alone, not to overtake the group, and always comply with the instructions of the cluster, sector, or worship guides so that the entire process runs orderly and safely," she said.
In addition to technical readiness, the Ministry of Hajj also reminds the importance of adhering to the ihram regulations during the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage. For male pilgrims, it is prohibited to wear stitched clothing that shapes the body, cover the head with attached coverings such as caps or turbans, and wear footwear that covers the ankles and heels.
Meanwhile, female pilgrims are not allowed to cover their faces with a veil or wear gloves while in the state of ihram.
"All pilgrims must also refrain from other ihram prohibitions such as cutting nails, plucking hair, using perfume after the ihram intention, and maintaining their speech and behavior to ensure their worship remains focused," Maria explained.
The Ministry of Hajj also emphasized the importance of maintaining health during the Armuzna phase, which requires high stamina and intensive mobility. Pilgrims are urged to get enough rest, eat regularly, increase their water intake, and avoid unnecessary activities.
"We ask all pilgrims to maintain their physical condition by getting enough rest, eating regularly, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding unnecessary activities to keep their energy up during the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage," Maria said.
To support health services during the peak of the Hajj, the government has deployed one Indonesian Health Post each in Arafah and Myna. Additionally, 657 Arafah Task Force officers have been stationed at various service points.
