RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - A TNI soldier who was part of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) was killed in an Israeli attack. The incident occurred at 20:44 local time in the village of Achid Alqusayr, within the Indobatt UNP 7-1 Lebanon area, on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
At that time, the situation in Southern Lebanon was heating up due to the escalation of conflict marked by artillery exchanges in the region. The Indonesian peacekeeping forces' headquarters were also affected by the attack.
The victim, named Chief Private (Posthumous) Farizal Romadhon, is believed to have fallen due to an attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on an Indonesian post. He was part of the TNI Task Force Garuda Contingent Unifil 2025, tasked with maintaining stability in the southern region of Lebanon.
The news of the soldier's death was confirmed by the Head of Information for the Iskandar Muda Military Command, Colonel Infantry Teuku Mustafa Kamal. The victim was buried at the Heroes' Cemetery (TMP) Giripeni, Wates, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Farizal Rhomadhon is a soldier in the Indonesian Army who was born in Kulon Progo on January 3, 1998, and practices Islam.
In his military career, he held the rank of Chief Private (Praka) and served as the Taban Provost 1 Ru Provost Kima in the Yonif 113/Jaya Sakti unit, which is under the Brigif 25/Siwah Kodam Iskandar Muda.
As part of his service, he was also entrusted as a member of the Task Force of the TNI Mechanized Battalion Garuda Contingent XXIII-S in the world peace mission under the auspices of UNIFIL in Southern Lebanon.
For his dedication and service, Farizal also received honors such as the Satyalancana Dharma Nusa and the Satyalancana Kesetiaan VIII Year, which are proof of his loyalty and contributions during his service.
