RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Looking for a green space in Jakarta? Try to visit this new recreational place! Taman Bendera Pusaka, a vibrant green park created by integrating three parks in South Jakarta-Taman Ayodya, Taman Leuser, and Taman Langsat-officially opened its doors on March 14, 2026. Spanning 5.6 hectares with a 1.2-kilometer jogging track, this park is part of the Jakarta Provincial Government’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible, inclusive, and comfortable public spaces for all.

The park’s design is inspired by the philosophy of the Sang Saka Merah Putih (the Red and White Flag). This concept is realized through two main zones: the red zone, which is active and dynamic, and the white zone, which is calm and reflective. These two zones are connected by pedestrian paths, a connecting bridge, and open spaces, allowing visitors to enjoy the park as a whole.

The park is also equipped with various types of vegetation, featuring 12 plant species and a total of around 285 trees, including several rare species such as menteng, eboni, cempaka, and kecapi.

A range of sports and recreational facilities are available to support public activities. These include a padel court, a multifunctional court that can be used for basketball, tennis, and badminton, a library, and an amphitheater for community activities and performances.

The park also includes connecting tunnels between the various sections, making it easier for visitors to explore the entire area.

In the park, there stands a statue of Fatmawati, honoring the former First Lady who sewed the original Red and White flag. The statue was created by sculptor Teguh Ostenrik, while the architectural design of the park was crafted by architect Yori Antar.

Taman Bendera Pusaka is open 24 hours a day equipped with CCTV and security systems to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors. It is expected to be not only a space for recreation and sports but also a public area that strengthens social interaction among the community.

When you visit, don't forget to keep it clean!
