RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Acclaimed Indonesian singer Vidi Aldiano reportedly passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. News of his passing emerged after musician Andi Rianto shared a condolence message via his personal X account.

"Rest in peace, Vidi Aldiano," Andi Rianto wrote.

Meanwhile, the family confirmed through a brief message to the media that Vidi passed away at 4:33 p.m. Jakarta time. Additionally, RRI received a WhatsApp message from a close relative, stating "My son, Oxavia Aldiano bin Harry Aprianto, has passed away."

"Vidi passed away surrounded by his entire extended family, who have accepted his departure to Allah the Almighty, on March 7 at 4:33 p.m. Rest in peace as you journey toward the Divine Light, son," the message continued.

A devoted fan using the handle @maarsa17 expressed deep sorrow, writing "Oh Allah, Vidi, I just saw Yura’s post this morning praying for him in front of the Kaaba."

Vidi Aldiano had recently received public prayers for his recovery from fellow Indonesian singer Yura Yunita. That post was quickly flooded with messages from netizens wishing for his health.
