KBRN, Jakarta: Voice of Baceprot (VoB), the metal band from Garut, West Java, Indonesia, has been named a global brand ambassador for Vans, the renowned American shoe brand. Vans Indonesia announced this news on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Voice of Baceprot is the sole music group from Asia currently featured as part of Vans' global brand ambassadors. Another Indonesian, the young skater Basral Graito from Central Java, joins them.

The all-girl metal band, Voice of Baceprot, stars in a campaign featuring Vans' iconic Old Skool shoe. In the campaign photos, they exude chic style while sporting classic sneakers.

Throughout their musical journey, Voice of Baceprot has vocalized women's empowerment and gender equality in social issues. "VoB has grown to become one of the many icons of young Indonesian women who dare to speak out loud even though they are women wearing hijab," wrote Vans in its statement, rri.co.id reported.

The Voice of Baceprot joined Vans' local 'This Is Off The Wall' campaign in 2023 and was later appointed as Vans' global brand ambassador.

Subsequently, they gained global recognition with the 'Feel Something New' campaign. VoB promoted the shoe's silhouette, which draws inspiration from the Warped Tour, a legendary rock music festival established in 1995.
