KBRN, Yogyakarta: Fans have expressed disappointment over the cancelation of international diva Dua Lipa's concert, previously scheduled for Saturday in Jakarta, due to stage incompatibility.

Promoters PK Entertainment and TEM Presents revealed that the stage structure, provided by Mata Elang Productions, was considered unsafe for Dua Lipa's show.

“Mata Elang Productions failed to provide a safe stage for the show.” the promoters wrote in a statement on Saturday night.

The British singer's concert cancellation disappointed her fans. A fan from Jakarta, Ayu (26), was very upset.

“I have prepared everything. I am very disappointed by this cancellation," said Ayu, adding that she had been a big fan of Dua Lipa since the release of her single 'New Rules.

Fans from out of town, who had traveled all the way to Jakarta, also felt the same. They hoped to witness their idol's stage performance but had to go home disappointed when the concert was canceled.

The organizers previously scheduled Dua Lipa's concert for Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 8 p.m. Jakarta time at the Indonesia Arena in Senayan, South Jakarta.

Dua Lipa announced the cancellation on her Instagram story. “I'm so sad to announce that I won't be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9. I am already in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I regret to inform you that the stage has been declared unsafe.”

Mata Elang Productions, the stage provider, was now in the spotlight due to this cancellation. The promoter publicly said that the vendor failed to provide a stage that met safety standards. ***
