Bee Jay Bakau Resort Combines Mangrove Nature and Unique Attractions

RRI.CO.ID, Probolinggo - Bee Jay Bakau Resort (BJBR) is an ecotourism destination featuring mangrove forests and diverse attractions. Located at the Mayangan Coastal Fishing Port, the resort covers about five hectares.

The mangrove area is the main attraction, offering visitors a green coastal environment to explore. BJBR also features an artificial white-sand beach covering 8,000 square meters for recreational activities.

Visitors can explore the area through a 1,645-kilometer cycling track built from sustainable coconut wood. The track was designed to avoid damaging the mangrove forest while providing views of the surrounding coastal landscape.

Another attraction is the Kuda Cipta Wilaha, a 13.6-meter structure inspired by the Trojan Horse. Named after Arjuna's horse in Javanese wayang, the structure can accommodate up to 30 people.

BJBR also provides floating bungalows built with 90 percent coconut wood among the mangroves. Guests can enjoy views of the sea and mangrove forest while experiencing an overnight stay within the coastal environment.

For visitors seeking distinctive photo locations, BJBR features the Sunflower Field and the Thousand Umbrellas Corridor. The complex also includes Taman Ethan Jonggrang Saloka, a themed garden combining Javanese and Oriental elements.

After 6 p.m., the resort becomes illuminated with decorative lights across its attractions and pathways. Visitors can also visit Nurul Bahar, a floating prayer room whose name means “light above the sea.”

BJBR offers additional facilities, including the floating seafood restaurant Rest-O-Tent with four large domes. The complex also features Majengan Bakau Beach, where visitors can enjoy the artificial white-sand beach and various recreational activities.
