Transjakarta Affirms Free Service Cards Neither Sold Nor Available for Purchase

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Over the past few days, information has circulated on social media regarding alleged buying and selling practices involving Free Service Cards (KLG). Transjakarta has emphasized that KLG is a public transportation service facility whose registration is 100% free of charge and not for sale, as cited from a written press release on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Based on Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 33 of 2025, the KLG program is organized by the Provincial Government of Jakarta. Consequently, this program is a full right for citizens who fall into the recipient category, without any fees charged during the entire issuance process.

Transjakarta Head of Public Relations and CSR, Ayu Wardhani, stated that Transjakarta strongly condemns the actions of irresponsible individuals trying to exploit this public service facility for personal gain. Therefore, she stated that Transjakarta will take firm action ranging from permanent blocking to legal proceedings.

"The Free Service Card is the right of beneficiary communities guaranteed by the Jakarta Provincial Government and is not charged a single penny. We do not tolerate any form of fee collection or KLG buying and selling practices. Every form of violation and misuse will be dealt with firmly in the form of permanent blacklisting, and will be continued through legal channels," Ayu stated.

Transjakarta urges the public to remain vigilant. Furthermore, the public needs to be more critical and not tempted by offers to create KLGs through third parties or paid intermediary services.

Transjakarta stressed to the public that if they find indications or practices of illegal fees related to KLG, they should immediately report it through Transjakarta's official complaint channels. Ayu stated that Transjakarta is committed to continuing to maintain integrity, transparency, and service comfort for all customers.

The Free Service Card is a card issued by the Jakarta Provincial Government to provide free public transportation access for people from certain groups, including the elderly, people with disabilities, veterans, residents of the Thousand Islands, and other program beneficiaries such as early childhood education (PAUD) teachers and mosque administrators. Consequently, this card can be used for Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT Jakarta to facilitate the mobility of eligible citizens.
