Save Up to USD 84 on Whoosh Trips Between Jakarta and Bandung

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia’s high-speed rail company, Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC), is offering the Frequent Whoosher Card (FWC) to regular passengers on the Jakarta-Bandung route, allowing them to save up to Rp1.5 million (USD 84) on travel costs. Announced on Friday, August 7, 2026, the FWC JaBan Gold is priced at Rp2 million (USD 112) for 10 Premium Economy class trips, valid for 60 days.

Compared to the price of 10 regular tickets, which range from Rp2.5 million (USD 140) to Rp3.5 million (USD 196), FWC JaBan Gold holders can significantly reduce their expenses. These savings are designed to support the cost efficiency of daily commutes for business travelers, workers, and students traveling between these two major cities.

KCIC also offers the FWC JaBan Silver for Rp1.35 million (USD 75), valid for 6 trips over a 30-day period, as an option for passengers who travel less frequently. This Silver card plan offers potential savings ranging from Rp150,000 (USD 8) to Rp750,000 (USD 42) compared to purchasing regular tickets.

KCIC General Manager of Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, afirmed the practical benefits offered by these subscription card options. She noted that passengers can also choose a card based on their travel needs.

“For passengers who regularly use Whoosh, the FWC can be an option to make their trips more affordable and convenient. Passengers can also choose the type of card that best suits their travel frequency and needs,” she said.

As of the end of July 2026, total sales of these subscription cards had reached 47,577 units since their initial launch in June 2024. The highest monthly sales were recorded in July 2026, reaching 3,366 cards, with the FWC JaBan Gold being the most popular option among the public.

To improve operational efficiency, KCIC is now expanding its FWC redemption services to Bandung Station and Cimahi Station to facilitate access for Feeder train users. Eva added that KCIC is committed to continuously enhancing service convenience so that Whoosh high-speed train travel remains practical, comfortable, and provides added value for customers.
