RRI.CO.ID, Banyumas - Curug Song Waterfall in Kalisalak Village, Kebasen Subdistrict, Banyumas, Central Java, attracted large numbers of local visitors during the Muharram 1, 1448 Hijri holiday on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Standing 45 meters high and surrounded by pine and teak forests, Curug Song offers a pristine natural setting with cool, refreshing air. For many families, it has become a favorite holiday destination.

Taufik, a visitor from neighboring Kroya, Cilacap Regency, came with his wife and two children. “This is our third time visiting the waterfall. The place is pleasant, cool, and great for children,” he said.

Andi, a visitor from Jakarta, praised the site’s cleanliness and facilities. He noted that the paved pathways make the walk easier for children and the elderly, though visitors are reminded to remain cautious along steep ravines and sloping paths.

“The facilities are complete, including clean toilets. The walk isn’t too tiring because the path is in good condition,” he added.

However, Andi also urged the local government to improve village access roads leading to the site, as some sections remain unpaved. Nearby, Curug Dipacandra--standing 25 meters tall--adds to the appeal of the 18-hectare area.

Beyond its natural scenery, Curug Song offers a range of recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy a flying fox ride stretching 100 meters, explore the pine forest on ATVs, or try the trampoline and sky bike.

A mini zoo features sheep, rabbits, deer, chickens, and monkeys, while additional attractions include a swimming pool with a waterboom, villa homestays, and a suspension bridge.

Food stalls line the area, ensuring visitors have plenty of dining options. Facilities also include a prayer room (mushala), clean toilets, and benches overlooking the landscape. A small tip is encouraged for toilet maintenance. Entertainment such as live music performances adds to the festive atmosphere, with crowds typically building closer to midday.

Entrance tickets are priced at IDR 13,000 (USD 0.73) per person, with parking fees set at IDR 5,000 (USD 0.28) per vehicle. Tickets do not cover individual rides or attractions.

With its blend of natural beauty, family-friendly facilities, and affordable access, Curug Song continues to stand out as one of Banyumas’s most popular holiday destinations. (Diva Rifdah)
