RRI.CO.ID, Semarang - Perched on the slopes of Mount Ungaran at 1,200 meters above the sea level, Umbul Sidomukti in Sidomukti Jimbaran Village, Bandungan, Semarang Regency, offers crisp mountain air and refreshing breezes.
This nature tourism destination blends scenic beauty with family-friendly activities, making it one of Central Java’s most inviting retreats.
Camping here rewards visitors with dazzling views of Semarang’s city lights. At night, the highlands transform into a glittering sea of twinkling lamps stretching across settlements, roads, and the northern coastline.

The resort’s signature attraction is its Natural Spring Pool Complex, fed by clear, cold mountain water. Three-tiered pools face the lush slopes of Mount Ungaran, with depths ranging from 1.3 to 1.6 meters for adults and a shallow 30 cm pool for children.
A hot spring pool and jacuzzi are under construction, promising even more comfort for families.
Beyond swimming, Umbul Sidomukti offers adrenaline-pumping rides such as the Rolling Bike, Flying Fox, Marine Bridge, Triangle, and ATV, while children can learn and play at the Little Ranch. Playgrounds, camping grounds, and gathering facilities add to its versatility.
Affordable packages make the experience accessible. Camping starts at IDR 150,000 (USD 8.27), including entry and swimming, with options for breakfast and campfires. Paintball begins at IDR 20,000, ensuring fun without breaking the budget.
Accommodation ranges from the Pondok Wisata Resort, ideal for groups, to Panorama Villas, which boast sweeping views of five mountains and can be rented for weddings or pre-wedding events.
Entry fees remain modest: IDR 5,000 for the main area, IDR 10,000 for the Natural Spring Pool, IDR 20,000 for Little Ranch, and IDR 10,000 for Tirta Mulya Cave. Pools are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while adrenaline rides run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Located about 35 km from Semarang--roughly an hour’s drive--visitors are advised to search for Pasar Jimbaran on maps before following signs to Umbul Sidomukti to avoid confusion.
One visitor, Misni from Pati, Central Java, shared her experience. “I went glamping, swimming, and tried the flying fox. If you stay overnight, there’s a promo where you can enjoy four rides for only 50K--Rolling Bike, Flying Fox, Marine Bridge, and ATV.”
The promo runs from April 17 to July 12, 2026, making it an ideal time to visit. Misni added. “The service is good, the place is clean, and hot water is available for bathing, which helps, since temperatures can drop to 19 degrees at night.”
She also noted the importance of environmental preservation. “Mostly the glamping facilities are similar everywhere. It would be nice if there was a stronger focus on protecting vegetation, since tourism growth has led to land conversion into villas and glamping sites.”
With its blend of natural charm, affordable packages, and diverse activities, Umbul Sidomukti continues to shine as a highlight of Bandungan’s mountain tourism. ***
