RRI.CO.ID, Natuna - Lampa Strait in West Pulau Tiga Subdistrict, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands, has once again become a premier destination for tourists and photographers drawn by its mesmerizing sunset panoramas. The seamless blend of the shifting sky, the vast sea, and the rhythmic activities of local fishermen creates an atmosphere rarely found elsewhere.
Every afternoon around 5:30 p.m. Jakarta time, the Lampa Strait Pier begins to draw crowds of locals and visitors alike. They gather specifically to witness the celestial gradient as the sky transitions from deep blue to vibrant shades of orange, crimson, and purple.
The dramatic effect is heightened by the golden reflections dancing on the calm waters, framed by the silhouettes of traditional wooden fishing boats moored at the dock.
“When the weather is clear, you can see Mount Ranai looming in the distance. The sun appears to sink slowly behind the small scattered islands. That is the moment everyone waits for,” said Anggar, a visitor at the site on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
