The surge was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations for Ragunan Wildlife Park, Wahyudi Bambang, who noted that the cumulative total for the three-day holiday reached 119,652 people.

"The number of visitors experienced a significant increase, especially on the last day of the long holiday," said Wahyudi in Jakarta on Monday, April 6, 2026.

According to the official data, the weekend saw a steady upward trajectory in attendance. The holiday began on Friday, April 3, with 29,592 visitors by 5 p.m. Jakarta time. Momentum built on Saturday, April 4, with 36,900 attendees, before peaking on Sunday, April 5, with a massive turnout of 53,160 people by the late afternoon.

As reported by Antara, this surge comfortably bypassed the initial forecast of 100,000 visitors. Bambang observed that the enthusiasm was visible from the early hours, with ticket queues beginning to thicken as early as 8 a.m. Jakarta time throughout the weekend.

The park’s enduring popularity is attributed to its unique position as an expansive educational site that remains accessible to all economic levels.
