RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park (TMII) in Jakarta is hosting a series of cultural parades and Kecak dance performances to entertain visitors during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday season.

“We have prepared these Eid festivities with various activities such as cultural parades and light installations,” said the Park Management Group Head of TMII, Suherman, in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Suherman noted that specifically for this Tuesday, a Kecak dance performance is scheduled for 5 p.m. Jakarta time. Additionally, the "Tirta Menari" and "Tirta Cerita" fountain shows will take place at 6:30 p.m Jakarta time. Other attractions throughout the day include cultural dance displays and animal parades.

According to Suherman, visitor crowds are distributed fairly evenly across the park’s various pavilions and rides. “The distribution is balanced because TMII is quite extensive. Visitors tend to converge at specific locations primarily during scheduled performance times,” he explained, as quoted by Antara.

By 11 a.m. Jakarta time today, visitor numbers had already reached 7,000. Suherman aims for a total of 140,000 visitors throughout the holiday period, which runs from March 20 to March 29.

Field observations show a mix of families and young couples enjoying the grounds. Among them was 28-year-old Choirul, who explored the area on an electric bicycle with his fiancée. “One last date before we get married. We’ll be in traditional seclusion (pingit) soon, so we’re taking a walk while we’re still off work,” he said.

Choirul found the rental prices reasonable, for IDR 60,000 (USD 3.55), he could explore the park for 30 minutes. Another visitor, 26-year-old Ira, arrived with her partner and friends specifically for the late-afternoon show.

“We’re here to watch the Kecak dance. Even though it’s not until this evening, we wanted to get in line early,” she said.

TMII has now returned to its normal operating hours, welcoming visitors from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jakarta time daily. ***
