The Ministry of Tourism Promotes of the American Market

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Ministry of Tourism is strengthening tourism promotion in the United States and North America in general by participating in the "Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show 2026" exhibition on March 7-8, 2026.
In a statement received by RRI Voice of Indonesia on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, in her statement in Jakarta, said that this participation is a concrete step in expanding market penetration and strengthening Indonesia's image as a preferred destination for American tourists, one of the largest contributors to Indonesian tourism.
"Through participation in the Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show 2026, we want to better introduce Indonesia's diverse and leading destinations while building sustainable business connections with industry partners in the region," said Minister Widiyanti.
At the exhibition, held at the Long Beach Convention Center, the Indonesian Pavilion showcased a variety of leading destinations and world-class tourism products that highlight the richness of nature, culture, and authentic experiences. It involved eight tourism industry players, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs)/tour operators and accommodation businesses.

The vendors promoted products directly to consumers (B2C) while exploring collaboration opportunities (B2B) with tour operators, wholesalers, and travel agents based in the United States. The hope is that the Indonesian tourism industry can expand its business network, establish international partnerships, and achieve transaction targets with buyers from various countries.
The Indonesian Pavilion also featured the "Taste of Indonesia" activation, a special area serving a variety of Indonesian delicacies as part of the promotion of Indonesian gastronomic tourism. This initiative is a strategic collaboration with the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Los Angeles.
"Indonesia's participation in the largest tourism exhibition in the United States is part of an integrated promotional strategy to raise awareness, expand partnership networks, and encourage increased sales of Indonesian tour packages, particularly in North America," Minister Widiyanti conveyed.
In addition, the Ministry of Tourism is also holding business matching events in San Francisco and Vancouver as a post-event for participating in the Los Angeles Travel & Adventure Show 2026.
The business matching event in San Francisco will be held on March 10, 2026, at the Residential Residence of the Indonesian Consulate General in San Francisco, in collaboration with Singapore Airlines (West Coast) and Aero Globe Indonesia. A similar event will be held at the Indonesian Consulate General in Vancouver on March 12, 2026, in collaboration with EVA Air (Vancouver).
