Minister Widiyanti Inspects Readiness of Tourism Destinations on Public Holiday

RRI.CO.ID, Cirebon – Indonesia's Tourism Minister, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, personally inspected several tourist destinations in Cirebon to ensure their readiness to face the surge in tourist visits during the upcoming Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr long holiday period.

The Minister's visit, which took place on Tuesday March 10, 2026, included visits to several famous destinations in Cirebon, including the Kasepuhan Palace, the Cirebon Mask Museum, the Trusmi Batik area, including the EB Traditional Batik Shop, and the Cirebon Train Station.

"This working visit in the middle of Ramadan is important for us to observe firsthand how tourist attractions in Cirebon City and Regency are preparing for the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr long holiday period," the Minister said.

Moreover, the Minister explained that this visit is part of the Ministry of Tourism's commitment to ensuring tourists can enjoy safe, comfortable, and enjoyable destinations.

Together with representatives from the tourism industry, the Mayor of Cirebon, and the Cirebon Tourism Office, and accompanied by the Deputy for Destinations and Infrastructure at the Ministry of Tourism, the Minister of Tourism inspected the readiness of public services, facilities, cleanliness, and security aspects at each destination visited.

The first destination visited was the Kasepuhan Palace, the oldest historical tourist icon in West Java. The Minister of Tourism ensured that the Kasepuhan Palace was ready to welcome tourists with a beautiful atmosphere, well-maintained historical buildings, and a heritage museum housing various valuable collections, including the Singa Barong Carriage.

"We visited the Kasepuhan Palace, and it was an honor for us to be received directly by His Majesty Sultan Sepuh XV of the Kasepuhan Palace of Cirebon," Minister Widiyanti said.

The next destination was the Cirebon Mask Museum, known as an educational tourism destination with hundreds of traditional mask collections. The museum showcases the richness of Cirebon's cultural philosophy by displaying between 132 and 150 mask characters and a replica of the Paksi Naga Liman Carriage.

The visit then continued to Cirebon Train Station to ensure the readiness of transportation services for the homecoming rush. The Minister of Tourism inspected various facilities, including the information center, ticket counters, restrooms, and health facilities and a lactation room. During the visit, the Minister also spoke with visitors to directly gather feedback from the public.
