RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Tourism Minister ,Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, held a dialog with representatives from several tourism associations and industry players to align perspectives and discuss various strategic opportunities and challenges in national tourism development.
In a meeting titled "Industry Speaks" held at the Balairung Soesilo Soedarman, Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday 3 February 2026, the Minister of Tourism emphasized that this forum serves as a direct dialog space to absorb industry aspirations, understand key issues in the field, and gather input to strengthen the direction of the national tourism program.
This effort is expected to become increasingly relevant as Indonesia's tourism achievements throughout 2025, which have received various international awards and recognition, continue to grow. "Indonesia's tourism sector has achieved various positive milestones that we should be grateful for together. The quality of our tourism is increasingly recognized by the world thru the diverse international awards we have received," Minister of Tourism Widiyanti said.

She also emphasized that this achievement was not possible without the close collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and various stakeholders, including tourism industry associations. This collaboration, she said, must continue to be strengthened so that tourism sector growth becomes more inclusive and sustainable throughout Indonesia.
"There are still several aspects that we need to strengthen together, from cleanliness and hygiene of destinations, service quality, infrastructure readiness, utilization of information and communication technology, to environmental sustainability that is friendly to tourists and local communities," said the Minister of Tourism.
Through this forum, she hopes to foster a constructive exchange of ideas between the government and industry players, while also opening up broader opportunities for collaboration to formulate strategic steps for national tourism development.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Industry and Investment at the Ministry of Tourism, Rizki Handayani, presented several key issues that were highlighted in the discussion. These include institutional strengthening, improving the quality of human resources, implementing safety standards, destination marketing strategies, strengthening supporting infrastructure and connectivity, and regulatory clarity and certainty.
"We hope that representatives from the association can provide concrete input toward resolving these issues," Rizki stated.
