Benoa Port Busy with Cruise Ships in Early 2026

KBRN, Denpasar: PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) recorded an increase in international cruise ship service activity through Benoa Port in early 2026. As of mid-January, Benoa Port in Denpasar, Bali, had served six international cruise ships.

The service series began with the berthing of Ovation of the Seas on January 1, 2026, followed by Le Jacques Cartier on January 7, 2026, then Seven Seas Navigator on January 9, 2026, Regatta on January 10, 2026, Viking Orion on January 12, 2026, and Paspaley Pearl on January 13, 2026.

During the period of January 11–12, 2026, Benoa Port also served cruise ships docking simultaneously, as the Regatta berthing and the arrival of Viking Orion continued.

Benoa Port's readiness to manage cruise ship operations in an integrated manner is demonstrated by these parallel services. This readiness is evident through pier management, port services, and cross-agency coordination.

While in Bali, cruise ship passengers participate in shore excursions to various leading tourist destinations, which contribute to the transportation sector, tourism services, and local businesses.

Agung Mataram, the General Manager of Benoa Port, said that his office continues to maintain service quality amid the increasing frequency of cruise ship visits. "Pelindo ensures that all cruise ship services, including those docked within a short period, run safely and smoothly and meet operational standards," Agung said.

Pelindo expressed belief that the positive trend in cruise ship visits in early 2026 indicates the growing trust of international cruise ship operators in Benoa Port. Going forward, Pelindo will continue to optimize services and facilities to support the development of marine tourism and maximize the port sector's contribution to the national economy.
