KBRN, Jakarta: Visitors who come to Rowo Jombor Reservoir in Klaten Regency, Central Java love to ride getek or traditional rafts.

"This traditional getek is made from bamboo and can accommodate 40 to 50 people. However, with the advancement of time, we have started using engines and modernizing them," said Sutomo, the Traditional Getek Association of Rowo Jombor Chairperson, in a conversation with PRO3 RRI on Sunday, February 2, 2025, as quoted by rri.co.id.

He explained that visitors coming to Rowo Jombor will have a unique and memorable experience. According to him, with the more modern getek design, visitors can enjoy the scenery of Rowo Jombor from the second floor of the boat.

He continued that tourists visiting Rowo Jombor can also enjoy the facilities offered, such as speedboats brought in from Sarangan, Magetan Regency, East Java to enhance their vacation experience.

"Our traditional boats are now equipped with live music and karaoke, making the holiday even more exciting," Sutomo explained.

He said that visiting Rowo Jombor would not be complete without tasting the local cuisine. There are many food stalls serving specialty dishes made with fresh ingredients, especially seafood. ***
