RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is developing a career recommendation system based on outcome-based education (OBE). This innovation connects graduate competencies with the needs of the workforce through an analysis of the suitability of learning outcomes and company requirements.

In a press release received by RRI VOI from BRIN on Sunday, July 20, 2026, Satrio Adi Priyambada, a Young Expert Researcher at BRIN's Data Science and Information Research Center, explained that this system is designed to benefit three parties simultaneously: students, companies, and universities. The system works by analyzing the level of similarity between company job requirements and student competencies, as reflected in the graduate learning outcome (CPL) score, resulting in a match score as the basis for career recommendations.

He believes the system can facilitate both students and companies in finding suitable jobs. "Currently, the system has a prototype website that displays the latest job vacancy recommendations for students," Satrio said.

The Head of the Data Science Study Program at the Indonesian Cooperative University, Dady Nurpadi, expressed his appreciation for BRIN's hosting. He emphasized that through this program, students are equipped with theory and taught the latest relevant technology, essential for their academic and career futures.

"We truly appreciate the visit. Our students were provided not only with material, but also with in-depth insights and experience related to data science. I hope the developments in AI, big data, and generative AI presented will equip our students to become professional and ethical data scientists in the future," he said.

The series of activities concluded with a visit to BRIN's interactive and immersive technology laboratory, which focuses on big data analysis and the development of future technologies such as virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and the metaverse ecosystem for data visualization and research simulations.
