RRI.CO.ID, Rio de Janeiro – Did you know Santos FC winger Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, popularly known as Neymar?. He has his own sophisticated jet.

The long-range aircraft combines high performance, the ability to cross oceans without refueling, and a structure designed for the routines of elite athletes . Neymar has been hotly discussed in recent weeks following his determined efforts to return to the Brazilian national football team for the 2026 World Cup.

It is due to his recent health conditions. Brazilian national team coach Carlo Ancelotti appears to be still unsure about Neymar's physical condition, which is still not 100 percent as of last week.

Neymar underwent platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his left knee on early April to accelerate tissue healing, reduce pain, and rejuvenate his skin. Despite his tireless efforts to regain his place at Canarinha, Neymar, as a world-class football star, also has attractions off the pitch.

One such attraction is his latest jet, which he uses for long-distance travel. The new aircraft, owned to the former FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Al Hilal striker, has attracted attention in recent days due to its features that allow intercontinental travel without the need to stop for refueling.

One of the special features of Neymar's newest plane, the Dassault Falcon 900LX, is its ability to fly non-stop for up to 4,750 nautical miles or around 8,800 kilometers. The aircraft's capabilities allow users to make non-stop flights between continents, such as between South America, Europe, and the Middle East, As reported by Tri Cahyo Nugroho of Indonesia's public media TVRI, it shortens travel time, and increases Neymar's schedule flexibility.

With its feature, it is capable of connecting major cities such as London (United Kingdom) to Seattle (United States) or Chicago (United States) to Geneva (Switzerland) without needing to stop for refueling. Therefore, it is not surprising that the aircraft, made by Dassault Aviation of France, is known as a high-performance jet for executive flights.

The aircraft can reach a top speed of nearly 1,000 km/h (Mach 0.87) and stands out for its configuration of three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines—a rare number in this segment—known for their high performance and excellent durability. Dassault Falcon 900LX is capable of accessing short-strip airports, high-altitude airports, and high-temperature airports due to its superior agility. It is claimed to be one-third more fuel efficient than its competitors.

With its wide range of technologies and cabin amenities, the aircraft offers a greater operational safety margin, and enables more direct routes across vast ocean. At the market, a new Falcon 900LX unit ranges from US$40–45 million US dollars, and can vary depending on the configuration and year of manufacturing.

Its Reach and Performance Shape Travel Logistics

The ability to operate long-haul flights without stopovers is indeed one of the main advantages of the Dassault Falcon 900LX. In practice, this reduces total travel time and eliminates stopovers, a relevant factor for athletes with frequent commitments between clubs, national teams, and sponsors.

Internally, the jet is configured to carry between 12 and 14 passengers, with space adapted for rest, meetings and entertainment. Seats that convert into beds, soundproofing, and on-board internet connection are common features on this type, which is designed for long journeys and physical recovery during flights.

Purchasing an executive jet of this size involves not only the initial cost, but also recurring costs such as maintenance, hangar storage, insurance, and flight crew. In the case of high-level athletes like Neymar, these investments are usually put into asset management, given the need for constant mobility and control over schedules and routes.
