KBRN, Bandung: The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is opening opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) research. This initiative involves PT BISA Artifisial Indonesia and STRIDE Malaysia.

The meeting took place at the Samaun Samadikun Science and Technology Area on Wednesday (6/8/2025). The discussion included researchers from BRIN, PT BISA, and STRIDE.

In a press release received on Thursday (7/8/2025), Research Professor at the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Research (PRKAKS) BRIN, Hilman F. Pardede explained his institution's role in the collaboration.

“We have conducted several studies, and as a form of downstreaming, we collaborate with various parties,” he said.

He pointed out that BRIN is open to collaboration in areas such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity.

“We also open collaboration with various research centers within BRIN,” Hilman stated.

Director of PT BISA Artifisial Indonesia, M. Octaviano Pratama, highlighted the importance of discussion with BRIN and STRIDE.

“The purpose of our visit is to exchange insights on AI research and development, both at the national and regional levels,” he said.

Head of the Artificial Intelligence Unit at STRIDE Malaysia, Muhammad Nur Annuar Bin Mohd Yunos, also supported the collaboration.

“We hope to establish cooperation with BRIN to develop artificial intelligence in the defense sector,” he concluded.
