RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s women’s badminton team is sharpening its focus ahead of the Asian Games 2026 quarterfinal clash against Taiwan, set for Tuesday, September 22 at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium, Japan.
Head coach Karel Mainaky confirmed the squad is physically and strategically prepared to secure a semifinal berth.
“We always prioritize unity and togetherness. Today we gathered with the singles team and Coach Imam Tohari, hoping for strong cohesion and performance,” he said in an official statement.
Karel and his staff have assembled the team’s best lineup, emphasizing composure and confidence. “I want them to apply what they’ve trained: play all out, stay patient, and remain calm against the opponent,” he added.
Singles player Putri Kusuma Wardani stressed the importance of enjoying the match without pressure.
