Pertamina Promotes Environmental Action at Eco RunFest 2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 is more than just a running and entertainment event. Entering its 13th year, Eco RunFest has evolved from a sports event into a festival that brings together sports, music, lifestyle and community activities while promoting environmental awareness.

Pertamina invited the public to take concrete action to protect the environment through the Road to Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 series in Jakarta on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Aligned with the spirit of “Spark the Change, Leave Zero Trace,” the series combines education, innovation, sports, waste management and music ahead of the main Eco RunFest 2026 event on December 6, 2026.

The Road to Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 features three main series: Innovation Lab, Spark the Road and Sound of Change. Innovation Lab provides a space for students and young people to develop ideas and solutions to environmental challenges.

Spark the Road encourages the public to make sports part of a more responsible lifestyle, including through plogging, which involves picking up litter while exercising. Meanwhile, Sound of Change uses music and creativity to promote the message of sustainability.

Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Muhammad Baron, said the sustainability message of Pertamina Eco RunFest should go beyond words and be translated into concrete action.

“We want the eco spirit to not stop as a mere message. Through the Road to Pertamina Eco RunFest, the public is invited to experience the change, take action, and be part of it. Change can start with simple habits that we practice together,” Baron stated.

The initiative is reinforced through seven Eco Initiatives that support the event’s sustainability goals: Eco Jersey, Eco Innovation, Eco Mission, Eco Talent, Eco Production, Eco Waste Management and Eco Education.

On December 6, 2026, Pertamina Eco RunFest 2026 will feature the ECO RUN alongside the ENERGIZING MUSIC FESTIVAL. The event will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno and Istora Senayan complex in Jakarta, bringing together sports, lifestyle, music, community and sustainability.
