Vietnam responded strongly in the second set and briefly led 10-6 before Indonesia recovered to level the score at 10-10. The contest remained tight through the closing stages, with both teams tied at 20-20, but Indonesia held its nerve to take the set 25-21 and move within one set of victory.

Indonesia delivered its most convincing performance in the third set. Strong defensive organization and consistent attacking play helped the team establish a 17-10 advantage before sealing the match 25-18.

Team manager Loudry Maspaitella credited the win to the players' successful execution of a game plan prepared ahead of the match. "The players performed very well against Vietnam. They were in excellent condition and the strategy worked. The plan was prepared the night before, and they executed it effectively on the court," Loudry said, as quoted by Antara.

According to him, Indonesia's ability to maintain discipline and follow tactical instructions played a key role in overcoming a Vietnamese side that had attempted to increase the pressure throughout the match. The result guarantees Indonesia another opportunity to improve its final standing at the Asian Games, with the team's focus now shifting to the decisive fifth-place playoff.
