RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian men’s basketball team lost 60–71 to Hong Kong at the FIBA Asia Cup 2029 Pre‑Qualifiers at Arena Seremban, Malaysia, on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The defeat cost Indonesia the top spot in Group C after they previously secured a convincing win over Singapore in their opening match.
Indonesia opened their campaign with an emphatic 80–54 victory over Singapore, placing them temporarily at the top of the Group C standings. The loss to Hong Kong moved Indonesia down to second place with three points, while Hong Kong collected four points.
Anthony Beane led Indonesia with 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Yudha Saputera added 12 points, three rebounds, and four assists as Indonesia worked to withstand Hong Kong’s pressure.
