RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s young climbers showcased depth and resilience at the World Climbing Asia Youth Championship 2026 in Guiyang, China, securing a total of four medals, including two fresh bronzes in the U‑17 and U‑19 speed relay events.

The latest podium finishes came from Naura Jasmine Rayya Syafiqa/Keyzia Queenme Candley Riwoe in the U‑17 women’s speed relay and Amirul Rizqi Febriansyah/Malik Baqmuhyibar in the U‑19 men’s speed relay.

Naura and Keyzia clocked 18.81 seconds in the final to defeat South Korea, while Amirul and Malik posted 11.09 seconds to clinch bronze after a strong qualifying run.

China dominated both relay categories, sweeping gold and silver in the women’s event and taking gold in the men’s, with South Korea settling for silver.

Earlier, Indonesia had already celebrated success through Ardana Cikal Damarwulan, who captured gold in the U‑17 men’s boulder with a score of 69.7, and Laksamana Krido Swarnabhumi, who earned bronze in the U‑17 men’s speed with a personal best of 5.43 seconds.

With one gold and three bronzes, Indonesia finished fourth overall in the medal standings, marking a strong showing at the continental youth championship. ***
