RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian futsal team is using its training camp in Spain to strengthen its preparation for upcoming international competition despite suffering a 1-6 defeat to Spanish team Palma in a friendly match in Chantada on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Indonesia’s second friendly during its training camp in Spain saw Reza Gunawan score the team’s only goal, while Palma found the net six times through Fabinho, Deivao, Lucao, David Pena and Ernesto, according to the Indonesian Futsal Association (FFI).

Palma opened the scoring in the second minute through Fabinho before doubling its lead in the sixth minute when Deivao converted an assist from Alisson, Antara reported.

Spain continued to put pressure on Indonesia and extended its advantage to 3-0 through Lucao in the seventh minute. Palma added another goal in the 14th minute through David Pena, who finished a counterattack to give the hosts a 4-0 lead at halftime.

After the break, Palma increased its advantage in the 21st minute through Ernesto. Indonesia reduced the deficit to 1-5 in the 28th minute when Reza Gunawan found the net. Palma responded three minutes later, with Ernesto scoring again in the 31st minute to complete the 6-1 victory. ***
