Indonesia's Veda Ega Battles Back to Ninth in Moto3 England at Silverstone

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama showcased resilience at the 2026 Moto3 British Grand Prix, climbing from 15th on the grid to finish ninth after a race filled with shifting fortunes at Silverstone on Sunday, August 9.

The 17-year-old Honda Team Asia racer made a smooth start, quickly advancing to 11th in the opening laps, Antara reported. He stayed in close pursuit of Malaysia’s Hakim Danish before moving into the top 10 as early incidents reshuffled the pack.

By mid-race, Veda surged to seventh, leading the second group and attempting to close a 2.7-second gap to the front runners. However, the closing stages proved challenging as he slipped back to 13th with seven laps remaining.

In the final lap, he fought through a tight midfield battle to regain ground, ultimately crossing the line in ninth. His ninth-place finish earned him seven points, providing an important boost to his 2026 Moto3 campaign and valuable experience competing at the front of the field.
