RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – For Indonesia’s women’s 3x3 basketball team, the FIBA Women’s Series Singapore Stop 2026 on August 13–14 is more than just another warm-up before the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya -- it is a chance to settle unfinished business.

Head coach Deny Sartika emphasized that consistent preparation and exposure to international competition are key to building resilience. “We always evaluate after every match, and improvements will continue to be made,” he said in Jakarta on Thursday, August 6, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

He added that the team is being trained to adapt to the pressure of high-level tournaments, strengthening both physical and mental endurance.

Indonesia will field the same four players who competed in Batam and Tokyo: Diva Intan Nur Fadillah, Lidwina Ruth Saputri, Tasya Hery Saputera, and Ayu Sriartha Dewi. In Singapore, they begin in Group A of the qualifying draw against Madagascar and host team Lion City.

The matchup with Lion City carries extra weight. Indonesia lost 16–20 to the Singapore in Tokyo and Deny sees this as an opportunity to respond. “We studied every move and detail of their strengths before Tokyo, but we slipped. Now we are better prepared to make amends,” he explained.

Lion City’s roster also overlaps with Singapore’s Asian Games squad, which will face Indonesia again in Group D alongside South Korea and Thailand. That makes the Singapore Stop a preview of battles to come in Nagoya.

The Women’s Series, organized annually by FIBA, is a global circuit where national teams and professional clubs compete across multiple stops, earning points toward season rankings and the year-end finals.
