RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) athletes showcased resilience and discipline at the 2026 GAMMA Asian Championships in Putrajaya, Malaysia, held from July 29 to August 2, securing 15 medals across junior, U21, and senior categories and finishing fourth overall.

The team collected five gold, five silver, and five bronze medals, marking one of its strongest continental performances to date.

“Beyond the medal count, we witnessed courage, discipline, and strong competitiveness from our athletes against the best opponents from across Asia,” Chairman of the Indonesian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PERTACAMI), Tommy Paulus Hermawan, said in a written statement on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Gold medals were won by Dominic Gabriel Vincentio, Mutiara Pricilia Rori, Delvi Nurfadillah, Yusni Nurhayati Hutasoit, and Jon Setiawan.

Silver medals went to Lukas Oliver Lubis Sedlak, Bumi Magani Abraar Himara, Rangga Dika Mahendra, Novia Pesik, and Maydelse Sitepu.

Bronze medals were earned by Manayra Maritza Hersianti Siagian, Vannezcia Steven Cuthberth, Yosua Pratama Purba, Panca Julian Saputra, and Dwi Ani Retno Wulan.

In the junior division, Indonesia secured one gold, two silver, and one bronze. The U21 and senior categories contributed four gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.

PERTACAMI emphasized that the achievement provides valuable momentum and international experience ahead of Indonesia’s campaign at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi‑Nagoya, Japan.
