RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia will continue hosting international professional tennis tournament in Bali with a third event later this month, providing local players with more opportunities to gain ranking points, international experience, and compete against overseas opponents on home soil.

Tournament Director Lani Sardadi announced that the Amman Men’s World Tennis Championship 2026 will move forward to its third series, the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) Pro Tennis Tour, scheduled for August 17–23 in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Coinciding with Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day celebrations, the third series is expected to maintain competitive momentum while providing players with opportunities to earn ranking points and gain valuable international experience.

“Following the first and second M15 series, the championship will continue with the UTR Pro Tennis Tour in Bali from August 17 to 23,” Lani said in a written statement on Monday, August 3, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

She praised the performances of young Indonesian players during the earlier M15 events, noting that talents such as Rafalentino Ali Da Costa, Ethan David Zapp, and Rafa Jeconia have begun to show promise at higher levels.

“These first two series have revealed emerging Indonesian prospects. We hope they continue to grow and achieve success nationally and internationally,” Lani said.

In the singles final of the ITF M15 second series, New Zealand’s Isaac Becroft claimed the title after defeating Australia’s Sam Ryan Ziegann in a grueling match on Sunday, August 2.

Becroft, who had finished runner-up in doubles with partner Daisuke Sumizawa the day before, battled for 2 hours and 45 minutes before sealing victory 7-6(4), 6-7(4), 6-1.

The first two sets were decided by tie-breaks, but in the third Becroft dominated with aggressive topspin shots to the baseline, forcing errors from Ziegann. “Motivation, hard work, and focus from game to game were the keys to my win. We know each other’s style well from training and competing together,” Becroft said.

With the victory, Becroft earned USD 2,160 in prize money and 18 ranking points, while Ziegann received USD 1,272 and eight points as runner-up. ***
