RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The 100 Celebrities Talk for Para Athletes (100 CTFP) movement continues to expand global backing for athletes with disabilities, uniting world figures, sports organizations, and leaders of National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) across Asia.

Launched on July 11, 2025, the campaign was created as a platform to voice support for para athletes, carrying a spirit of inclusivity that transcends national borders.

“Paralympic Games are the most transformative sporting event in the world. Through sport, we can change countless lives,” International Paralympic Committee (IPC) President Andrew Parsons said in a statement from Jakarta on Monday, August 3, 2026.

His message marked the beginning of a wave of endorsements from disability sports organizations worldwide, with the campaign steadily gaining traction across Asia.

Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) President Majid Rashed emphasized that true success is not measured solely by medals. “Real achievement comes from systems built together, reinforcing one another,” he said.

Former ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) Secretary-General Wandee Tosuwan echoed this sentiment, urging athletes to trust in their own abilities.

Support also poured in from NPC leaders across Asia. India’s NPC President Deepa Malik encouraged athletes to inspire the world through their achievements, while Bhutan’s NPC President HRH Ashi Euphelma Choden Wangchuck highlighted how every success brings hope and motivates future generations.

Thailand’s NPC President Naiyanobh Bhirombhakdi reminded athletes never to give up, stressing that the journey continues as long as they keep moving forward.

Similar messages of encouragement came from NPC leaders in the Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and Singapore, all reaffirming their commitment to advancing para sports in the region.

Marking its first anniversary on July 11, 2026, IPC President Parsons once again extended his appreciation. “Happy first anniversary to the entire 100 CTFP team and the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation. It is an honor to support this movement.”

In just one year, 100 CTFP has successfully brought together voices from IPC, APC, APSF, and NPC leaders across Asia. The campaign has grown into a moral movement that transcends borders, reinforcing the message that limitations are never a barrier to achievement. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
