RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian men's national hockey team boosted its confidence ahead of the 2026 Asian Games by winning the Taiwan Nantou International Men's Tournament, using the competition as a key step in its preparations for the continental event.

According to the Indonesian Hockey Association (FHI), Indonesia finished top of the final standings with 11 points from five matches. Indonesia secured victories over Singapore (4-2), Chinese Taipei A (4-3), and Chinese Taipei B (10-1), Antara reported.

The team also earned two draws, holding Thailand to a 0-0 stalemate before battling South Korea to a 3-3 draw. Across the tournament, Indonesia scored 21 goals and conceded nine.

The national team departed for Taiwan on July 24, with the tournament serving as part of its build-up to the 2026 Asian Games.

Following the title-winning campaign, Indonesia will continue its preparations by holding a training camp in Malaysia. ***
