RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s campaign at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) in the Esports World Cup 2026 now rests solely on ONIC Esports, after Team Vitality bowed out in the Knockout Stage.
Team Vitality fell 1–3 to Falcons PH in Paris on Wednesday, July 29. The Indonesian side managed to equalize in Game 2, but the Filipino squad seized the next two games to secure a semifinal berth, Antara reported.
“To all our fans, super fans, family, and friends who supported us, I sincerely apologize. We couldn’t continue our journey in this EWC,” said captain Moreno via MPL Indonesia’s broadcast.
He added that the defeat should serve as valuable experience and a stepping stone for future tournaments.
Falcons PH opened the series with aggressive play and superior objective control. Vitality responded with disciplined team fights in Game 2 to level the score, but Falcons regained momentum in Game 3 through map control and sealed the match in Game 4 with cleaner execution.
The victory also avenged their group stage loss to Vitality.
Despite the setback, Moreno voiced confidence in ONIC’s chances. “Sorry we couldn’t deliver an All‑Indonesian Final. But I believe ONIC can reach the final and bring the trophy home for Indonesia,” he said.
ONIC, who advanced by defeating Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants 2–0, faced Turkey’s Aurora Gaming in the Knockout Stage later Wednesday evening. The match represents Indonesia’s final opportunity to chase the MSC EWC 2026 title. ***
