RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s men’s volleyball team underlined its dominance in the second leg of the SEA V Cup 2026, securing top spot in Group A after winning both of its matches.

The latest triumph came on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Jakarta International Velodrome in East Jakarta, where the Garuda squad overcame the Philippines in a spirited contest, 3–1 (25–18, 25–17, 23–25, 25–19).

The match showcased Indonesia’s ability to control tempo and capitalize on opponents’ mistakes. In the opening two sets, coach Reidel Toiran’s side dictated play with effective attacks and benefited from four service errors by the Philippines, Antara reported.

Although the visitors rallied in the third set--anchored by sharp receiving and 16 points scored--Indonesia quickly regained momentum in the fourth, with Farhan Halim and teammates pressing hard to close out the victory.

With six points from two wins, Indonesia now leads Group A and advances confidently to the semifinals. Their next challenge will be against Vietnam, the runner-up from Group B, expected to be a high-stakes clash.

Beyond the scoreline, the result highlights Indonesia’s growing consistency in regional volleyball. The team not only demonstrated resilience after dropping a set but also showed depth in execution, a promising sign as they aim to extend their winning run and secure a place in the final. ***
