"He has already tried his best. And, there is still enough time for us, the coaching team, to train him," Amri said.
The Indonesian Climbing Federation (FPTI) sent two young athletes to compete in the World Climbing Youth Championship Arco 2026, which will take place from July 18-25, 2026. In addition to Haddan Malik, who competes in the men's U19 speed category, Indonesia is also sending Ardana Cikal Damarwulan, who will compete in two disciplines: men's U17 lead and men's U17 boulder.
FPTI hopes that the participation of young Indonesian athletes in the international event can provide valuable experience, increase flight hours, and strengthen the competitive mentality of the athletes to face competitions at the world level.
