RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian women's national football team defeated Laos 5-0 in the final of the 2026 AFF Women's Cup in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The convincing victory saw Garuda Pertiwi successfully defend the regional title.

Indonesia controlled the match from the opening minutes with composed possession and sustained pressure on Laos' defense. However, goalkeeper Laila Masykuroh nearly gifted Laos an early lead after a misplaced pass that almost resulted in a dangerous opening goal.

Garuda Pertiwi continued to create chances through Estella Loupatty, Sheva Imut, and Gea Yumanda, who repeatedly troubled the Laos backline. After sustained pressure, Sydney Hopper opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, capitalizing on a scramble following a corner kick.

Taking a one-goal advantage into halftime, Indonesia grew in confidence and controlled the tempo of the game. Laos struggled to build attacks as Garuda Pertiwi maintained a disciplined defensive performance throughout the match.

Indonesia doubled its lead early in the second half through a long-range strike from Isabelle Nottet, whose effort slipped past the Laos goalkeeper. Eight minutes later, Estella Loupatty added a third after finishing a well-worked move inside the penalty area.

Indonesia's dominance continued as Felicia de Zeeuw unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box in the 68th minute to extend the lead. Emily Nahon completed the 5-0 rout with the final goal shortly before full time.

The emphatic victory secured Indonesia's second AFF Women's Cup title, with head coach Satoru Mochizuki once again guiding Garuda Pertiwi to the championship after leading the team to the 2024 crown.

The triumph also secured Indonesia's place in the 2027 AFF Women's Championship. Runners-up Laos and third-placed Singapore also qualified.
