RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s men’s national volleyball team opened the second leg of the SEA V Cup 2026 with a convincing victory at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Rawamangun, on Wednesday, July 22.

The Red-and-White squad dominated Cambodia in straight sets, winning 26–24, 25–15, and 25–18.

Head coach Reidel Toiran fielded his strongest lineup from the start, with captain Farhan Halim and teammates breaking through Cambodia’s defense with aggressive play.

Toiran praised his team’s resilience, noting their ability to withstand pressure in the opening set. “The players stayed focused against Cambodia tonight. Our varied attacks and strong communication were the keys to victory,” he said.

Farhan Halim admitted the team played with greater freedom and confidence, expressing satisfaction with the performance.

“We executed the coach’s strategy well. Our game flowed more freely and confidently, which is important as we prepare for the next matches,” the captain remarked.

The SEA V Cup 2026 is the fourth edition of the Southeast Asia’s premier men’s volleyball competition. It replaces the SEA V League, introducing a new format and broader participation.

The competition features six national teams--Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, and Myanmar--and held across two legs in the Philippines and Indonesia. The teams are divided into two groups of three, with the top two advancing to the semifinals.

The first leg was held at Candon City Arena, the Philippines from July 15–19. The second leg is held at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Indonesia, from July 22–26. Winners of each leg earn a spot in the 2027 AVC Men’s Volleyball Cup. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
