RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia strengthened its presence at the opening leg of the ITF M15 Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship 2026 after three home players advanced through the qualifying rounds, bringing the country's total representation in the men's singles main draw to six.

The expanded lineup gives Indonesia greater opportunities to earn valuable ATP ranking points on home soil while allowing its rising talents to gain experience against international competition during the seven-leg ITF series in Bali.

Qualifiers Gunawan Trismuwantara, Ethan David Zapp, and Rafalentino Ali Da Costa secured their places in the main draw at the Bali National Tennis Center in the ITDC Nusa Dua complex, tournament organizers announced on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

They joined Indonesian players Muhamad Rifqi Fitriadi, Anthony Susanto, and Nathan Anthony Barki, who had already qualified directly for the tournament.

Gunawan booked his place after defeating fellow Indonesian Tegar Abdi Wibowo 6-1, 6-0 despite admitting he had not fully recovered after competing in Wuning, China. He will face top seed Sanhui Sin of South Korea in the opening round, Antara reported.

Eighteen-year-old Ethan David Zapp delivered one of the day's biggest surprises by defeating senior compatriot Lucky Chandra Kurniawan 6-2, 6-1. He will next meet Japan's Hikaru Shiraishi.

Sixteen-year-old Rafalentino Ali Da Costa also impressed by upsetting top qualifying seed Abhinav Sanjeev of India 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). He will face another Indian player, Kabir Hans, in the main draw.

Indonesia will also field four men's doubles pairs, with first-round matches beginning Tuesday. Gunawan Trismuwantara/Ethan David Zapp will play Japan's Ryuki Matsuda/Ryotaro Taguchi, while Rafalentino Ali Da Costa/Eito Komada will face Australia's Jack Bruce Smith/Stefan Storch.

Meanwhile, Anthony Susanto/Yuttana Charoenphon will take on Alexander Chang/Tanapatt Nirundorn, and Muhamad Rifqi Fitriadi/Francis Alcantara will meet Gunawan Trismuwantara/Tegar Abdi Wibowo.

The Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship 2026 features seven tournaments scheduled between July and December in Bali. The opening event runs from July 20-26 with a total prize purse of USD 15,000. ***
