Indonesia's Men’s Volleyball Team Targets SEA V Cup Title Defense in Philippines

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s men’s volleyball team is gearing up for another continental test as they head to the SEA V Cup 2026 in the Philippines, determined to defend their regional crown.

The squad was officially released by the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI), with Vice Chairman Djoko Sardono leading the send-off. PBVSI expressed hope that the team’s triumph at last year’s SEA V Cup, coupled with their AVC Men’s Volleyball Cup 2026 title, will inspire another championship run.

“We set the target to retain the SEA V Cup title. Every player should be proud, as they represent the nation through sporting achievement,” Djoko said.

Head coach Reidel Toiran, motivated by PBVSI’s expectations, strengthened the roster by recalling senior players Dio Zulfikri, Sigit Ardian, and Fahreza. “Their presence adds depth as we prepare for both the SEA V Cup and the Asian Games 2026. We are ready to compete,” he noted.

Team captain Farhan Halim welcomed the reinforcements, saying the veterans bring leadership, motivation, and valuable experience. “It’s great to have senior players guiding us. Their addition makes the team more solid and united,” he said.

Indonesia will compete in Pool A against hosts Philippines and Cambodia when the SEA V Cup takes place in Bacolod, Philippines, from July 15–19. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
